Children's Ministry

Sunday School:

FBC's Children are currently in a series from LifeKIDS called "Danny's Traveling Circus."  Kids age 3 through 6th grade will go under the big top to travel through exciting stories from the book of Daniel.

The book of Daniel contains stories that are among the most well-known to kids. But do we see what those stories show us about God? Do we see examples of the right way to live? Do we learn from the examples of how wrong choices affect us? This series will answer these three questions through four of the stories in Daniel. It will also teach us that every Bible story can offer insight into those three questions too. After this series is over, kids will know life lessons from the book of Daniel. And even more importantly, they will have a Bible study plan to apply to other books too.

Wednesday Nights:

Our Wednesday Night program for children age 3 - 6th grade uses materials from the SC Baptist Convention where children study missions and do a craft each week.  They learn names of missionaries and details about their mission such as where and how they serve, the cultural and religious differences unique to their location, and how we can very specifically pray for and help these missionaries.  Each lesson usually has time for a craft or snack and always prayer time where the children become familiar with praying out loud.

• Nursery - birth - age 3.
• Mission Friends - Age 3 - 1st grade.
• Children In Action - 2nd - 6th grade children.

Vacation Bible School:

Every Summer we have one week-long VBS program.

Camp:

Our children occasionally spend a week at Camp McCall, Camp LaVida or Look Up Lodge.

Parties/Fundraisers/Community Outreach:

We try to have a children's event at least once a quarter.  Easter and Christmas parties are fun times where we invite the community to join us.   We have car washes and bake sales for the children to earn money for camp.  We have assorted outreach missions to either local nursing homes or with the Seniors in our own church.  Once or twice a year we'll have a children's choir sing or have the children perform a play.
