What We Offer
The Joyful Seniors
At FBC Wagener, most of those who are above 55 years of age consider themselves to be part of "The Joyful Seniors," a Senior Adult Ministry. We express the "Joy of the Lord" in our service, devotion, and fellowship one with another.
We have an active group of about 35 who participate in many areas of ministries in the life of our church: Sunday School Classes (as teachers or members), Bible Study groups, Mission groups, Choir members, and Committee members. All whom are church members that are faithful in their attendance as well as faithful in their giving.
We usually gather together the 2nd Friday of each month for a time of fellowship and fun. Our gatherings include a meal, devotional, games, and music.
We also have a very active group of about 16 who enjoy occasional day trips. Our outings have varied from the Mountains to the Coast and everything in between: shopping excursions, museums, art galleries, gardens, concerts, plays, and the State Fair are a few of our past trips.
We enjoy ministering to the homebound or "shut-ins" as we call them and those in nursing homes that are a part of our church family. We not only minister through our S.S. classes, but individuals make it a priority to call, send cards, and visit on a regular basis. We enjoy putting together special care and gift packages at Valentine's and during the Christmas season. In reaching out in such a small way and seeing the big impact it has is such a blessing.

Here are some activities we offer at FBC Wagener:
- Men's, Ladies, or Co-Ed S.S. Classes - Each Sunday at 9:00am
- Woman's Missions group study - 4th Tues. each month, 3:00pm
- Various Bible Studies - Each Wednesday at 6:45pm
- Choir Rehearsals - Each Wednesday at 6:00pm
